Questions
Will the character really look like my child?+
Yes - that's the whole point. We first paint a character portrait from your photos, keeping your child's face shape, skin tone, hair and smile, then use that same portrait for every page so they look like themselves throughout. You see the cover and first page free before paying. If you're not happy, every book includes 3 free redraws.
What photos work best?+
One to three clear, well-lit photos where your child's face is easy to see - looking at the camera, no sunglasses or hats over the hair. A normal phone photo is perfect.
What happens to my child's photos?+
Photos are used only to paint your child's character. Location data is stripped when you upload, and the photos are deleted as soon as the book is finished (and never kept more than 7 days). We never use them to train AI or show them to anyone.
Can I get it as a real printed book?+
Yes. Order a glossy 8.5 × 8.5 inch hardcover right from your book page - we print it on demand and post it to you (or straight to grandma). You see the exact price including delivery and tax before paying, and you can order up to 5 copies. You also get a print-ready PDF if you'd rather print it yourself.
Can the book be about something that really happened?+
Yes - tap 'Tell it with your voice' and talk for a minute about a real moment: a trip to grandma's, a first tooth, the new puppy. Speak in any language. We write it down and turn it into the story, keeping your real people, places and events.
How long does it take?+
The free preview (story, cover and first page) takes about 2 minutes. After you pay, the remaining pages are painted in about 5-10 minutes and we email you the link.
