Storykin is operated by Your Name / Company Pvt Ltd, City, State, India. We collect as little as possible, and we treat children's photos with special care.

Your child's photos

Photos are uploaded by a parent, guardian or someone with their permission. On upload we strip all metadata, including location. The photos are sent to our image-generation provider only to paint your child's character, and are deleted as soon as the book is finished, and never kept longer than 7 days. We never use them to train AI models, never publish them and never sell them.

Voice recordings

If you tell your story by voice, the recording is sent to our speech-to-text provider to be written down and is not stored by us - only the text you see (and can edit) is kept with your book.

What we store

Your email address (to send your book and receipt), your delivery address and phone number if you order a hardcover, the details you typed for the story, and the finished illustrations and PDF so you can come back to your book. A hashed version of your IP address is kept to limit abuse of free previews. Unpaid previews are deleted after 30 days. Paid books are kept so your link keeps working; email us to delete yours at any time.

Who processes data

OpenRouter and the AI model providers it routes to (to write the story and paint pictures), Dodo Payments (our merchant of record, which handles payment details - we never see your card), PayPal (payments for printed books), Lulu (prints and ships hardcovers, and receives the delivery address and phone number you give for that), Resend (email delivery) and Hetzner (hosting in the EU).

Your rights

Ask us for a copy of your data or for deletion at support@storykin.griffintaur.com. We reply within 7 days.
